“The In Between” opens with a David Foster Wallace quote: “each romantic tale is an apparition story.” This is what befalls Tessa (Joey King) following a lethal fender bender that kills her sweetheart Skylar (Kyle Allen) and leaves her with a messed up heart. Her obliterated telephone mysteriously turns on and shows a photograph shipped off her by Skylar, and she feels his attendance at the medical clinic. One more individual patient attempts to inform her regarding ADC – “after death correspondence”. This is the zinger and the story line. Anyway there are more plot openings in this film than in a Swiss cheddar. This film additionally unmitigatedly romanticizes Tessa’s craving to take her life to accompany Skylar. Aside from the solid acting presentation of Joey King (Tessa), this film is an exercise in futility. There is no unmistakable heading and the heavenly stuff in this film simply has neither rhyme nor reason.
