Saw this in the theater last night, and although I liked it, it was very well-made and attractive, and with an interesting set however, it wasn’t anything novel or unique. I’ve seen all the elements in this movie before. Not even close to the degree that The Wailing, which this has many similarities to.
The yelling and running around and the people acting like as if they’re possessed in the final act is tedious after a few minutes There’s hardly any emotion or connection with the characters. I did not really be interested in one of them that made it to the final scene.
Rarely do I say this regarding a film that is a horror however this could be better if it was being less tense, and leaving an element of ghastly scenes. Edit: This is way too lengthy at 130mins.
